How Many Years Have You Been In The Adult Industry?

“Personally, I (Linda) have been in the Adult Industry for 10 years and Empire Industry Finance is coming up to 1 year and 10 months - how time has flown!"

What Is Empire Industry Finance?

Have You Had Any Achievements?

“Creating the first accounting and finance business for the industry, by workers in the industry. I (Linda) have also been the Miss Nude Victoria Panel Judge (having been a dancer in my years working in the Adult Entertainment Industry)."

How Did You Get Started In The Adult Industry (Linda) and What Do You Love About Being A Part of The Australian Adult Industry?

“Introduced to the world of dance at a young age, I was a classically trained dancer at two and a half. I have had the privilege of competing in numerous state and national level dancing events, winning many titles. My most valued titles include The Royal Academy of Dancing Grade Awards & Most Potential Award. After proving my skill to the dance industry, I then began dancing full time at one of the most prestigious dance schools, Dance World 301. It was then that I decided that I would teach Contemporary and Classical dance styles. This passion for dancing led me to start dancing at adult entertainment venues in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. I have danced at a variety of different venues across my ten year dancing career including Players Showgirls, Kittens then becoming a Bar Supervisor at The Men’s Gallery. It was during this period of my career where I found myself heading off to an accountant to get a tax return lodged as a Sole Trader. I remember the experience being not an overly great one, and on top of that, living in a small town, I was hoping what I was doing for work was going to stay in those four walls. That experience lead me to do my own tax return the following year and I found that I really enjoyed it. So, I enrolled into University and began on my path to a career in accounting. Throughout my study I continued to dance and upon finishing I found myself helping other girls I worked with to sort out and keep track of their finances. When I began my own practice a few years ago, some of my first clients were girls from the industry. This then gave me the idea to start Empire Industry, the first finance and accounting practice solely dedicated to helping those working in the arts and entertainment industry. It’s an extremely meaningful business, where I get to mentor and educate women working in the industry and assist them in achieving their financial goals. Empire has given me the platform to make tax and accounting less scary, less judgmental and continue to empower women. The business is incredibly innovative, respecting the schedule of a client working in the adult industry Australia wide."
